I laughed out loud several times reading this. I know, having deranged people in charge of schools is not humorous, it is horrifying. But, still, I laughed. It’s as though you are a comic spitting A game material while standing on the deck of the sinking Titanic. If I’m honest, I’d prefer sinking into the freezing, cold dark sea rather than share a plank of wood with Rooks or her supporters. I can’t imagine listening to their unhinged conspiracies every month. You are a hero we do not deserve.

Boy oh boy.....you sure are a glutton for punishment, no?

Still seriously entertaining relocating just so I can sling buttered popcorn at the door....but now believe I should also make Tinfoil hats to add to the mix.....seems I'd have an endless supply of customers 🤷‍♂️

Informative and clever writing Jeanne. Thanks for attending. Feel for our neighbors in Peoria. Tough road ahead. These past weeks you've had me seriously mulling over some comments you have posted that I'd never heard before. The majority of convicted pedophiles identifying as conservative Christians. This is me thinking out loud, not being antagonistic. Doesn't that kind of just stand to reason? If 7 out of 10 Americans "identify" as being Christian, then the majority of those pedophiles (and any criminal really) would follow suit and "identify" as Christian? There is no way 70% of Americans bow the knee to Christ. And I am 100% grateful this country still allows freedom of religion (or the belief of no religion). I love Him, but no one else should be forced upon in any manner. Including reading His Word at public school board meetings. I don't dwell on my past CSA, it rarely makes an appearance in my mind anymore except as of late. One of my abusers "identifies" as a Christian and one did not (deceased). I believe them to be Equal Opportunity Offenders. If a person is bent towards this sickness/abuse, they will gravitate towards any opportunity to take advantage. B/c priests are associated with the church, and the republican congressmen gets caught in the truck, it makes the big headlines. As humans, we expect better. But you and I know the majority of abuse occurs in our own homes, with family members, babysitters, and next-door neighbors. Childhood sexual abuse crosses all religions and parties. All the more reason for SEL and counselors within the school. Our children need a safe place to turn. I don't know. Just not a fan of placing blame on any particular group of people, religion, or political party for this problem. It takes away from the real issues at heart. *Keep up the good work, appreciate your reporting and recaps.
